------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed May 2 12:38:46 +0000 2007 ------- While I normally compile to-be-upstreamed stuff with gcc 3.4.4 to match as close to upstream gcc choice as I can, a check of 4.1.2 shows it does the same thing, so I logged http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=31785 about it, though I bet they'll aggressively throw it out :-) In the meantime, it's not a problem for me to drop the stuff where the compiler could do the right thing for us already.
