Hi cornouws,

I have added a walk-through of the issue consisting of 5 screenshots (Toolbar1 -
Toolbar5, see attachments).

* Toolbar1: The initial state of the walkthrough is that the Bullets and
Numbering toolbar is not selected.

* Toolbar2: The user enters View > Toolbars > ... and selects the Bullets &
Numbering toolbar. It is now selected and displayed in the top nav area above
the edit area.

* Toolbar3: When you move onto a bullet, the toolbar becomes ACTIVE and various
icons within the toolbar become highlighted (i.e. no longer disabled). This is
correct.

* Toolbar 4: When you move off the bullet - I moved up a line in this case - the
toolbar DISAPPEARS of its own accord.

* Toolbar 5: A visit back to View > Toolbars > ... confirms that the system has
deselected this toolbar.

Now I'm not sure what you are suggesting the "by design" behaviour should be,
but I can assure you the above sequence represents nothing short of UI design
insanity! ;)

When a user explicitly selects a toolbar in View > Toolbars > ..., it should
remain displayed and active until the user de-selects it in the same way. This
"static" selection by the user should override any context-sensitive (dynamic)
toolbar activation.

Most certainly, a toolbar that has been explicitly selected for display by the
user should not be de-selected by the system. Otherwise we have nothing more
than an ongoing tussle between man and machine! ;)

Hope these screenshots further clarify the issue. All the best.
