Lucky you. Original poster and several users have different experience - 
"But when you access the same dialog for the second, third... time, the cursor 
is still positioned over the last iserted one (and this is EXTREMELY good), 
but the default ok button is disabled".
I will attach screenshot that illustrates the problem - see how non-
default "I" is selected (circled in green), but OK is disabled (red).
Are you using official binaries from openoffice.org, or some other build (like 
distro-specific or suchlike)?
