------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed May 23 20:42:29 +0000 2007 ------- I try to make a web page in user-friendly manner. However I found out that due to this issue I have to manually edit each address. Two examples: * you create a hyperlink -- I would like to set a link to just "mynextpage.html" but in webpage tab OOW insists to add "http://" prefix which does not make sense, and in file tab prefix "file://" which also does not make sense. I don't get it -- from when URL "mynextpage.html" became invalid? * the same goes for image embedding, but the correction is even more difficult -- it seems OOW does not accept that fact, the image is placed "here" (in current directory), it has to "correct" the filename adding incorrect prefix Please, if the user says -- file "A", it is file "A". Don't try to be smarter, adding prefixes usually works only in one situation (on local filesystem, or on remote system), but it is impossible (*) to add absolute prefix and have it working in both environments. (*) almost. But the workaround is really painful -- you have to upload files to remote server, and use absolute URLs downloading back what you uploaded. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
