Just a comment to rollom's addition.

Saving shouldn't change the view, right. For the arrow key see below.

I tend to agree here. There is no reason to jump to the cursor position.

I'm not sure if that really is "more intuitively". But OTOH I don't deny it.
Perhaps this is something we should think about. Thanks for pointing this out.

How is that different to Writer? Maybe I misunderstand what you have written but
to me it looks as the same what Writer does.

Matthias, would you like to comment on that? 
As Frank already pointed out, changing the view after saving looks like a
defect. I also think that keeping the view when an object is deselected would be
a good enhancement. I'm in doubt about the cursor movements.
