Features: - alternating rows have slightly different backgrounds (2 types of gray) - row which has the focus is highlighted automatically using a 3rd color For some examples, see attached image (taken from phpMyAdmin, see on sourceforge.net), and various other sites, e.g. a very nice one on Mozilla (https://crash-reports.mozilla.com/reports/topcrasher/byversion/Firefox/3.0a5pre). This is something that really improves readability.
