The result is exactly the same as before. However, my Brother printer is ancient; I think it is from year 2000. As long as OpenOffice.org:Writer works with MOST printers, I'm all in for closing this issue as a printer-specific problem for an ancient printer. Perhaps you could try to ask the other guys who have the same problem about how old their printers are. As I said before, I can do with printing through PDF. It takes only a minute longer but gives me greather control of how to print anyway (for instance, manual duplex is done by printing first the odd pages then the even pages, etc.).
