He's just fed up with a very important feature still missing (and I agree). Why improving kerning in 2.2 IIRC (did anyone ever noticed the difference ?) when such feature has to be workarounded by a macro to be installed with also specific process because importing macro dialogs is still broken ??? Who uses OOo ? The base of future regular users is all the students writing their thesis, reports, ... And the headings cross-referencing is one of the most used features.
