When the toolbar "pops up", the whole document plus the panes docked laterally blink (or flash). This is visually very annoying. The only workaround to avoid it is to create a new toolbar (empty) and dock it permanently at bottom so that a context toolbar that pops up doesn't create a new row of toolbar. NB: don't remember having this glitch on 2.2.0 or 2.1.
