------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Jun 20 20:28:57 +0000 2007 ------- This bug effectively prevents the user from automatically *removing* numbering that has been applied manually. This can cause a problem in large documents that are trying to be reformatted. For example: 1) Open a new document 2) Type a line of text (EG "First Heading") 3) Apply the style "Heading 1" 4) Open the "Styles and Formatting" dialog 5) Apply a numbering style under "List Styles" from "Styles and Formatting" (EG "Numbering 1") 6) Right click the Heading 1 style and select "Modify..." 7) Under the "Numbering" tab, set the "Numbering Style" to "None" 8) Reapply the "Heading 1" style to your line of text The numbering style will *not* be removed. This is a problem if you are trying to modify (or even apply a new style) which will remove numbering from a large section of a document. Also, under the "List Styles" in "Styles and Formatting" there is no option for applying "None" to a paragraph. Workaround: Remove the numbering style from the "Format" menu ("Format" -> "Bullets and Numbering..." -> "Remove" button) Drawback: This method will apply to the local paragraph only, and is quite cumbersome for working with documents with large numbers of similarly formatted paragraphs which must be modified. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
