You can | then refer to the first reference in the current expression with "\1", | to the second reference with "\2", and so on. I had thought I could put references into the replacement string too. In the query string, they *do* work (which I had not tried before today), so there is indeed no bug, sorry. I'll suggest an enhancement as you told me.
