I wonder if this was a reason why you said "Not reproducible on WinXP." Concerning the file, I recall that it could not be saved as PowerPoint format after I inserted a slide at the end. Then, I inserted textboxes and typed in this slide. OOo crashed and the file was recovered with the data without the inserted slide. I retried and I failed again in saving the data.
