Fst, I think you did not got the point.
I don't want to make an autofilter from a single cell. This is a non sense.
Let me explain in a different way:
When autofilter is active:
- a mark is added on the menu item
- an additional autofilter on a different area is not possible
But:
- In MS Excel, the flag is always on REGARDLESS where is the currently selected
cell in the sheet (I mean inside or outside the autofilter area).
- In Calc, the flag in the menu is on ONLY IF the currently selected cell in the
sheet is INSIDE the the autofilter area.

So if I want to switch off the autofilter:
- In Excel I just click on the menu item regardless the selected cell
- In Calc, first I have to select a cell INSIDE the autofilter area and then I
can click on the menu item. If I forget to select a cell in the autfilter area
before clicking on the menu item, an error message window popups reporting I
cannot have two autofilter in the same sheet.

The Excel is for sure more intuitive and correct.
Please let me know if the issue is still not clear.
Gualtiero
