reopened bcause of folowing comparisions:

- notepad - this one is not comparable, as it has no option "automatic file
extension"
- wordpad - this one is not comparable, as it has no option "automatic file
extension"
- MS Word 03 - this one is not comparable, as it has no option "automatic file
extension"

But Word is somehow comparable as "automatic file extension" is the default in
Word.And it behaves exactly asexpected:
try to save "My.doc.xls" as Word Document will result in the filename
"My.doc.xls.doc".
The same test case in Writer will result in "My.doc.xls".

Btw. "automatic file extension" is no otpion of the default system file dialog -
so I have no idea why you refere to the behaviour of the plain system file
dialog.
