In fact, BDB 4.3 uses i386 assembly instead of amd64 specific assembly. In BDB 4.4, OTOH, almost identical patch as SUSE's is used. Probably SUSE or someone submitted the patch upstream. I'd say we better use i386 assembly instead of amd64-specific code because 1) I believe less intrusive patch is better for third-party modules, 2) it is easier to maintain in the OOo tree, 3) most importantly, it just works. ;-) So, I vote for the original patch for berkeleydb/makefile.mk, which was included in the maho's comment. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
