Version (1.6.0_02) and Location are ok. Parameters left as installed: -Xms 512 -Xmx1024. What have I done? 1. Tried to run a macro. Tools - Macro - Run Macro or: 2. Tried to assign a key to a macro. Tools - Customize - Keyboard - OpenOffice.org What have I expected? the list of macros to choose from What have I got? The error message: "OpenOffice.org requires a Java runtime environment (JRE) to perform this task. The selected JRE is defective. Please select another version or install a new JRE and select it under Tools - Options - OpenOffice.org - Java" Clicked on "ok" - may be several times - and I was able to run a macro or assign a key.
