------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Jul 26 12:22:44 +0000 2007 ------- Sometimes when I tried to select a cell of a spreadsheet for the solver, calc does not react anymore: (I have the german version of ubuntu and OOo, so i try to translate the labels, but I am not sure if they are translated that way in the english version) 1. I started OOo-Calc through Ubuntu: Anwendung(=Application)=>Büro(=Office)=>OpenOffice.org Tabellenkalkulation(=OOo Calc) 2. I entered the fomulars for linear optimization into the spreadsheet: D1:=30*B1+20*B2+45*B3 --> min D2:=0,1*B1+0,1*B3 >=12 D3:=0,2*B1+0,1*B2+0,1*B3 >=15 D4:=0,1*B1+0,2*B2+0,3*B3 >18 3. I entered some description to the cells 4. I used Extras(=Tools)=>Solver to start the linear optimazation 5. I tried to select the targeting cell trought the button for selecting cells 6. I selected the target cell with my mouse and pushed the button to go back to the solver => The first 3 tries this let OOo freeze so that I killed it after a minute the 4. time it somehow worked and gave me the wished result Yesterday I had the similar problem, with the following formulars: C1:=40*A1+40*A2+60*A3 C2:=6*A1+8*A2+10*A3 C3:=4*A1+3*A2+6*A3 I was able to select the target cell with the method above, but couldn't select the changable cells by this method, only with typing them. Than it worked as well. I don't know if this is relevant, but I had an writer instance open showing a one page .doc -file in the background (yesterday and today) It is quite confusing to me why it crashed yesterday and this morning but now in both spreadsheets it works. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
