Yes, this was my primary objective for opening this issue. It can be very
pleasing for users to know that the 680 stuff resides in a "seperated box".

Thats true, however when we form groups of users based on internet access
technology (_very_ roughly: DSL, 56K, ISDN) what we could end with is this IMO:

* broadband: "No problem to have the JRE added, i can wait a few more minutes."

* 56k/ISDN: "you're crazy? I'll never do a download that takes longer then an
hour. So 680 has never been a choice and also never will be."

-> impact of adding the JRE in the end:
none.
