------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Jul 29 22:21:27 +0000 2007 ------- This is not a bug issue so much as a request that the Base module of OOO be friendlier to existing DBMS, in particular, DB2. I am using Version 9. I would like to see a wizard to automate the integration of DB2 with the OOO suite. At present, you are asking too much from the average user to get them to configure drivers. Until OOO can make setting up the system as easy as Microsoft has made it, don't expect to attract many more users than the Open Source and Linux fans. Don't get me wrong, I love OOO and have been using it since StarOffice 5.1, but it is about time that you became more professional and realistic in your approach. There are other good products out there, and not all of them are open source (e.g. MySQL), so you'd better start supporting them. I have reviewed the proposed details for OOO Version 3.0 and find that, once again, Base has been relegated to the sidelines. I urge you to reconsider this situation and do your best to remedy it.
