In 2.2.1 under Windows Vista x86 and x64 once the user selects the option to
allow OOo to associate itself with Microsoft Office filetypes (Word as an
example) it assigns the same description to all files of the selected category
(rtf, doc, odt): "OpenDocument Text".

There appears to be no way to change this description on a type by type basis.
Microsoft has removed the old file type management dialog. Going into the
Registry does not list the filetype description under
HKEY_CURRENT_CLASSESROOT\<extention> or HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\MIME\ContentType\<mime
type>

This problem applies to all files that become associated with OOo when the given
category is selected during setup: .xls and .ods both become "OpenDocument
Spreadsheet" etc.

This problem does not occur under other versions of Windows.
