------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Jul 30 22:18:33 +0000 2007 ------- NOTE: This bug was originally reported here - https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=169217 Tested Builds: Downloaded OOo-Dev_SRC680_m222_LinuxIntel_install_en-US.tar.gz package from: http://openoffice.bouncer.osuosl.org/?product=OOo-Dev&os=linuxintel&lang=en-US&version=SRC680_m222 Problem: The task pane is very handy, but it takes up a lot of screen real-estate, and if it's not visible, you have to navigate menus to get it back. It would be great to have an option to set it so that it can auto-hide, much like a gnome panel can do. When you mouse over to where it is auto-hidden, perhaps to a small "Tasks" tab that pokes out as an indicator, the whole Tasks bar pops out. This model could even allow complete elimation the Tasks bar altogether by replacing it with tabs for each of the task categories (Master Pages, Layouts, Animations, and Transitions) each of which has its own tab when auto-hidden. Another possible improvement might be to have the task pane hide and show functionality have a hot key combination assigned to it or configurable by the end user. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
