------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Aug 3 06:34:45 +0000 2007 ------- A text frame in a document can have a "Spacing to contents" specified in the Borders tab of its properties dialog Currently, if any or all of the outside borders (top, left, right bottom) are turned off, the corresponding spacing section is disabled and no spacing is done. However, spacing can be useful within a text frame as a means of designing layout, even if there is no visible border. It would presumably be fairly easy to simply leave the spacing box enabled and apply the spacing, even when a border is not being drawn. For example, a text frame can be used to center text vertically within another frame. Being able to additionally specify internal margins within the frame would enable more intelligent placement within that frame. These techniques are commonly used in HTML layout in order to produce a flexible layout that allows parent objects to be resized and the child objects inside them to still be positioned sensibly --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
