------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Aug 7 11:35:23 +0000 2007 ------- Those gnu classpath docs seem to mirror the way it's speced in the sun java 1.5.0 docs, i.e. http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/api/java/io/PrintWriter.html#append(char) http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/api/java/io/Writer.html#append(char) I don't seem append listed in the 1.4.2 http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/api/java/io/Writer.html and http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/api/java/io/PrintWriter.html which from the docs makes it almost sound like the append stuff appeared in 1.5.0, which I guess couldn't be the case if it works in 1.3 Perhaps http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/jcp/rc/index.html#io is relevant, but I guess either way the problem will go away on it's own later on this year with the free-ed up Sun java, in the meantime I'll just muddle along with the hackaround. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
