------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Aug 9 07:33:48 +0000 2007 ------- This is a meta task for me as a reminder to track all issues related to unopkg accessing the user directories without need. - issue 78735: Extension Manager: Shared extension leaves trash in userdir / breaks deinstall and unopkg - issue 79643: Use temporary java settings when installing bundled extension / removing extension does not work - issue 79645: Extension Manager should not write into the user directory when installing a shared extension Current status: - CWS jl68 brings following enhancements: * Extensions are now installed without writing anything to the user directories during setup issue 78735 * unopkg still accesses the userlayer files but without really changing anything (reproduction: Create userlayer manually, chmod 000 on it, install office with bundled extension -> unopkg fails) * Java config does not end up in userdirectory anymore Open problems: - When invoking unopkg at a later point the userlayer is still created if not the bootstrapping parameter -env:UserInstallation=... is provided every time. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
