------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Aug 16 20:55:47 +0000 2007 ------- Preface: I've tried OOo 2.2.1 Hungarian on a Hungarian XP, and exported from a Hungarian Excel. I expected dates keeping their format (YYYY-MM-DD, that's how we use dates in Hungarian). 0. Change Windows short date format to something else than DD-MM-YY. (Try the U.S. order MM-DD-YY, or the Japanese/Hungarian YY-MM-DD.) 1. Enter a date in Excel. 2. Format the cell to short date format. 3. Export spreadsheet in XML format. 4. Open in OOo Calc. 5. The date format will be D-M-YY instead of the short date format according to the system/user default locale. In my case, it should have been YYYY-MM-DD. Inside the XML file: <Cell ss:StyleID="s29"><Data ss:Type="DateTime">2007-06-02T00:00:00.000</Data></Cell> while "s29" defines <NumberFormat ss:Format="Short Date"/> --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
