Works for me.
afaik shift+print screen does the same as print screen alone (copies the
complete screen image to the clipboard) ie 'shift' may be redundant. Have you
seen the same effect using the print screen key alone?
Since it clears after a reboot, perhaps you have intermittent memory corruption
- or perhaps windows has simply run out of memory - can lead to odd effects.
