------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Aug 23 10:57:37 +0000 2007 ------- It is a tragic decision to maintain identical 'Print'-dialogs application-wide. Why I concur, that there must be some consistency across an application, you cannot expect the same requirements and functionality for programs as diverse as a text editing and a spreadsheet program. These have just very different uses. Somebody who uses a spreadsheet application in a professional way will easily point you to the differences. Instead of migrating everything that is program specific to the 'Options'-dialog, consider moving those options that are really useful back to the main dialog. Also, ALL OOo dialogs (NOT just the 'Print'-dialog) fare badly when compared to other professional applications. They tend to be: - BIG - even though they are missing relevant settings/options - sometimes ugly - often non-functional I am working on a radically different concept, but it will take some time to crystallize the ideas. Nevertheless, inserting program-specific options into the dialogs (i.e. customising the dialogs for every program) is a sensible approach. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
