------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Aug 29 18:20:43 +0000 2007 ------- I have a very simple writer document (a.odt; will attach) with 12 identical frames (like labels) on one page that I want to fill with database (simple calc spreadsheet, a.ods; will attach) values using Mail-merge. Each frame includes a small sub-frame. There are two problems with mail-merging the document, most likely related: 1) In the resulting (merged.odt; will attach) document, all the inner frames (containing the "anything" text) are duplicated and put outside their parent frames somewhere near the beginning of the document. Of course, the layout is completely broken. This can be observed even with just a single label on the page. 2) the merge takes > 2 minutes with 12 labels, and over 10 minutes with 15 labels on the page on my 1.6 GHz Athlon (I thought OOo hanged, but it actually finished the merge after such a long time). With only a couple (1 ,2 ,3 ... ) labels per page, the merge happens relatively fast. Also, opening the merged document takes similarily long. Obviously, the time needed to generate/open the merged document is at least quadratically (if not exponentially) dependent on the number of labels. This makes it practically unusable for more than 10 such labels. I observed a similar issue with images nested inside the labels, not just another frames. I can reproduce it on the distro version in Debian Etch, openSUSE 10.3 beta2 or in the current development snapshot. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
