For time formatting, these codes work, but in my Finnish locale the date formatting codes are different. The help page should use the same formatting codes that the software expects. How to verify: 1. Create a new spreadsheet in Calc. 2. Set Locale to Finnish via Tools -> Options -> Language Settings -> Languages -> Locale 3. Insert the formula =TEXT(0;"DD.MM.YYYY") into a cell 4. Verify that formula does not produce a formatted date 5. Insert the formula =TEXT(0;"PP.KK.VVVV") into a cell 6. Verify that formula produces the date 30.12.1899, ie. 0 formatted according to how "DD.MM.YYYY" in Help would suggest 7. Open help via Help -> OpenOffice.org Help 8. Find number formats page (Index -> number formats -> codes) 9. Find Date Formats section and see the formats 10.
