------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Sep 13 23:03:29 +0000 2007 ------- Editing databse in "Table Design" mode. If I change a field name it generally makes no issue. If I change the field name and also the length (though I've only tried increased field lengths) then I get a warning: "The column "$FieldName" could not be changed. Should the column instead be deleted and the new format appended?". Choosing "No". Leads to the change being made anyway. This change is immediately written to the database and can not be bypassed by a close-without-saving. This wiped out the main field in 500 records of my db. Thankfully I've probably only lost 50 or so as I have backups. I have reproduced this bug. Perhaps it's as simple as the "Yes" and "No" controls being wrongly labelled? However if that is the case, why is the write performed without user action? Probably the most serious bug I've come across with OOo/StarOffice in my 8 years of using it. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
