------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Sep 19 08:50:56 +0000 2007 ------- OOo2.3, installed from OOo_2.3.0_LinuxIntel_install_wJRE_en-US.tar.gz on Red Hat Enterprise, kernel 2.6.9-55.0.2.ELsmp, with Gnome as desktop environment, does not start. I first applied the "unset SESSION_MANAGER" trick in the soffice script, but that does not change anything. Then I looked at the processes: after running soffice, the process that are created are: sh javaldx gij addr2line c++filt but nothing happens. Now, when I kill the process javaldx, Openoffice.org2.3 DOES START, meaning the process soffice.bin appear is the process list. So something is wrong with javaldx, but I don't know what or how...
