(if not already there). Then repair is invoked as it is now.

The downside to this is the relatively time consuming task of re-extracting from
installation file. The benefit is, as already mentioned, more power to the user.
Also, OO.o's setup wouldn't be that much different than others (namely running a
program in the first place to unpack and actually then installing it).
