And adding such useless comments as the last ones also adds to the problem that issues like this one are so hard to work on because it's so hard to find the really useful information below all the hot air. Please, read at least the most recent comments before you write your own ones. This should have told you that nobody had worked on this issue for years and that this is the reason why we don't have this feature now. OTOH *now* people are working on it so there is a good chance that we can get it in one of the next releases. And that won't go faster by adding comments with zero information. Issue Tracker is not a complaints box, it's a place to exchange reports and technical information that helps developers to do their work and users to describe their needs.
