It's since OOffice 2.2 that when an update is available (i.e. for example OOo 2.3 is out) the update check reports no new versions available! Some days ago I noticed OOo 2.3.0 was out, I loaded again Writer and manually chosen "Check for updates" and my OOo 2.2.1 still reported I was up-to-date and no new version was found (WRONG!). Please fix it once and for all!
