------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sat Sep 22 12:05:39 +0000 2007 ------- Installation of OOO 2.3 on Linux (Ubuntu 6.10) fails because the download is a tar.gz and after unzipping and unpacking the tarball, there is just a bunch of deb files with no instructions on how to install. Trying to install (dpkg -i) the debs one by one fails with the first deb (openoffice-base_2.3.0-5_i386.deb) with a whole bunch of gobblidigook about things already being installed etc (I have openOffice 2.0 installed) There needs to be some installation instructions included or, better still, the usual openoffice installer needs to be set up for this version. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
