There seems to be a relation with the activity going while the file is being opened. It could be that in that case I tried to open a 3rd document while the 2nd is still being loaded. I can confirm that I saw multiple copies of soffice.exe and soffice.bin in the task manager. I'll try to see if this can be reproduced.
