------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sat Sep 29 07:07:11 +0000 2007 ------- I created a simple document from scratch, but wanting to use it at work with Office, I decided to save it as a .doc file. File dialog comes up, I select the right directory, type the name (without an extension), and select Office 97/2000 as the required type. Click OK, the warning comes up about stuff that may not be stored as office type. Realizing that layout is fairly simple, so hardly a problem, I reply yes to the question, indicating I want it save as .doc file. To my astonishment, it ends up as a .odt file in the correct location.
