2007 -------
Tested under Ubuntu with official OOo 2.3 version.

- In Writer, create a document, insert a shape (from the Drawing toolbar), add a
bitmap as background for this shape (imported a pic, 120 kB). Save. File size is
1.2 MB ! Remove the shape background. Save, still same size. Replace by other
bitmaps, ... Check the content of the /Pictures folder of the odt file -> all
the pics used as bitmaps are here !
- In Draw, same but the file size is roughly the same as the pic (130 kB).

Bitmaps for background should be removed from the /Pictures folder.
NB: note that the pic in Writer is changed to .png instead of keeping its
original file format (jpg) as done in Draw. But I'll file another issue for 
that.
