This has been reported in Ubuntu Gutsy, OO.o version 2.3.0, when upgrading from Feisty (version 2.2.0). See https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openoffice.org/+bug/66933 for more information. Could you investigate further to find out how to fix/work around this?
