OK, that's put the menu items back to where they were pre-2.3.

BUT Whenever I open a .odt (or any other OOo file type) from within my desktop
environment (gnome) it gets opened by Archive Manager (file-roller). So,
obviously the desktop environment is still broken by the OOo2.3 install.

AND ok, p1 is perhaps a little extreme, but an install that pretty severely
stuffs my desktop environment for an essential end user productivity tool has
got to be worth more than a p3?

Thanks.
