MRU->MBA: o.k., finally we got it... the following conditions must be fulfilled
to get the "General input/output error:

1. a user defined template must be set as default template for Writer and
2. the default file format for Writer must be "Word 97/2000/XP"

Then when creating a new document and saving it will lead to the mentioned error
message.
