Both different reports are actually i386 rpms, not x86_64 ones, so adjusting
platform away from x86_64. These are two different reports from two different
versions of OOo with two different crashes by two different people reported on
two different years. FC-5 is no longer supported I'm afraid so to user no #1 I
suggest to upgrade.

Nevertheless for #1 the crash looks like a problem in parsing the java config
file ~/.openoffice.org2.0/user/config/javasettings_Linux_x86.xml, it may have
become corrupt, if still relevant I suggest to
mv ~/.openoffice.org2.0/user/config/javasettings_Linux_x86.xml /tmp
and attempt to start OOo without it and let it regenerate that file.

>From user #2 (cellarstella), what's the version of glibc, i.e.
rpm -q glibc
and how many cpus do you have, i.e.
cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep -c ^processor
and does it happen every time ?
I have to say that it works without problem on my own up to date FC-7 box so
it's not a global problem anyway.
