------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Nov 9 04:42:30 +0000 2007 ------- redi2go: this bug has been around even longer than that. It was reported in issue 2197 ( http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=2197 ) on November 13, 2001. It's almost six years old. I use Writer for letters, which don't have spaces at the beginning of lines. Spaces shouldn't be treated like any other character because that would mean that when I type a normal letter to someone, I'd have to look at the screen at the end of each line to know when to hit enter so there won't be a space at the start of a line. But I'm not sure if you intended for it to work like that when you said "treat a space like any other character." Another way to fix the bug would be to allow up to two spaces at the end of a line when the last non-space character is sentence-ending punctuation, and subsequent spaces would show on the next line. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
