In the OOo CVS tree it is a submodul of the sw modul. In the starmath project the symbollists are defined in starmath/source/symbol.src and the translations are listed in starmath/source/localize.sdf I'm not sure however how those are represented to you in your translation tool. The define used fdor that list is RID_UI_SYMBOL_NAMES it is a list with about 66 entries. The entries seem to be listed by numbering them in the same order they appear in the symbol.src files item list. Please note that the naming convention for the greek symobls and how to distinguish the upper- and lower-case letters in Asian languages seems to vary a lot. For chinese it looks to be the same as in English (alpha, ALPHA, beta, BETA) whereas in Japanese it seems to be that the uppercase character is refered to as in English and for the lower-case letter Katakana is used.
