I recently yumex installed email merge and attempted to do an email merge. I
created a document and worked my way through the wizard. It got to the point
where it was trying to send emails and a progress bar appeared. Within the
window on the wizard was a message that the first email was bad. I doubted that
since it was a congressman's email, so I tried again and didn't use that record
with the same result for the next record. Finally I created a table with my own
email address and merged ti it. I got the same error.

The text of the error was:

<type 'exceptions.AttributeError'>: SMTP instance has no attribute 'sock',
traceback follows
  File "/usr/lib/openoffice.org/program/mailmerge.py", line 188, in
sendMailMessage
    self.server.sendmail(sender, truerecipients, msg.as_string())

    self.send(str)
  File "/usr/lib/python2.5/smtplib.py", line 318, in send
    if self.sock:

I posted this in the forum, but, the more I thought about it I figured it was a
bug.

I'm running Fedora 7

Thanks
