I don't know how to use your issues system.
I think this file corruption happens when I open a document from a search list
or an explore list and msword opens the document instead of open office calc or
writer (the only 2 segments of open office I use). When this heppens (and I
don't know why it happens) the file is corrupted for good and all the priceless
information I'd stored in the file is gone! It's been traumatic, but I've
survived. Now if only I could get the IRS out of my life, things would be fine.
I know you're not interested in this extraneous information.
I have submitted some corrupted files and ES said they'd never be uncorrupted.
