Currently the Area where the controls are placed is defined by constants that do not consider the size of the visual area of the form document. This is suboptimal especially when the controls have to be placed outside this area because their amount is too high. As I discussed with OS it is currently not possible to query the visual area of a text document via API but it is not a big deal to provide such an interface.
