(Querying for 'file' and 'extension' in Framework|UI didn't give this issue, so
it must be new here.)

In previous versions, when a .odt was 'saved as' .doc, the file name in the
windows title bar did show the extension .doc.

Since working with various file formats is difficult enough (not our fault of
course), it is important to make it as easy as possible. Therefore I'm a bit sad
that is has disappeared. Now, one can't easily see if the active document is a
.doc-file.

I can't remember this as a feature for 2.3.0, so consider this a bug.
And since more difficult working with file formats is a severe problem which
affects a significant number of customers (and not the most skilled ones, BTW) I
consider this P2...

I experience the same behaviour in 680m239.
