The colored one is interpreted as text.
Strong hint for that is that it is left-aligned, not right aligned. If you want
be sure, just check with the formula =ISTTEXT(E1)

Text is treated as 0 and according to the interval settings in tools|Options →
OOo → General "Interpret two digit years as ..." will be treated as 2000

If you change the interval to go from e.g. 1850, the combined date will be
treated as 1900.
Solution: Convert the date to a number first (encapsulate it as WERT(E1))
