2007 -------
This was quite interesting.

1.
.doc file (1_from_doc.doc).
There is two pictures in that doc.

2.
Open 1_from_doc.doc.

3.
Copy picture from 1_from_doc.doc.

4.
Open Impress, just presentation, nothing special.

5.
Paste copied picture from 1_from_doc.doc.

6.
Everything is fine in the edit phase.

7.
Start presentation.
There is not the same picture when edited.

Initially this could be a problem in Impress.

Since the picture is displayed correctly (A1.PNG) in the edit phase Impress is 
handling that well.

Since the picture is not displayed correctly (A2.PNG) in the presentation that 
could be Impress defect since presentation comes after edit phase.
